Help Please--Excessive Tire Roar

I need your help guys. I have very excessive tire roar when braking especially at low speeds (40-30 KM). I have taken my car to the dealer (Oakville) and they did balance and allignment which they claimed will fix the problem. However its still not fixed. They are trying to blaim the Tein springs that i have installed. They also checked the brakes and said they were good. I dont know if they trying to avoid fixing something and i dont know what else to do. Has anyone come across this before. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

man, lemme tell ya, if you've got the stock bridgestones & lowered + some miles, you're gonna have some tire noise. The bridgestones once they wear arent quiet by any means.

...sorry bro but you can balance & align the car til you're blue in the face. The tires are making all the noise you're hearing.

You are experiencing "feathering" and there are many threads that have addressed this - do a search for "feathering" and you'll find more info. than you'll want to know. There was a class action suit filed against Nissan for 350Z owners, but so far there has not been a similar one for the G35.

Performance tires are tuned with slot depth/width to cancel some of the noise as they wear the depth changes and the tuning effect goeas away. this is in addition to heeel toe feathering of blocks.

After 8,000 miles all bets are off.

Yup. Best thing you can do is make sure that your alignment is in perfect specs when you mount brand new tires. This will minimize irregular wear and keep the tire roar away as long as possible.

Sorry. That's the price of performance and sexiness.
