my pads lasted 60K. And it was 500 for a dealer install of pads and turning of the stock rotors. Front and rear.

My brembo pads lasted about 40k, and the rotors were still in decent shape. I really think that they can last until the next time I change out the pads. I'm really not looking foward to a $3,000.00 brake job! The brake feel and performace are worth it though. I autocross throughout the summer, but use my car mainly on the highway.

$3000 might be dealer cost. I got Stoptech Aeros, Hawk HPS, SS lines installed for 2400ish at 67k. They are way to powerful for normal driving conditions, but dam the brakes bit now.

If you don’t need them or like the look, obviously don’t get them. The nice thing about having the brembos, I think, is the cost of upgradeable performance over BBK kits.

No one has mentioned that the Brembo brakes are less touchy when you first apply the brakes. The stock 03-04 brakes were like an on/off switch in my opinion. The Brembo pads are very easy to change yourself you so desire. I am currently on my second set of pads and yes I do have that "lip" of wear that someone mentioned. My mechanic isn't worried about it, but I will probably go with some Stoptech rotors during the next pad change. For taking the car to the track there is less fade with the Brembos.

Oh, and as mentioned, the Brembos look bad a$$ too

lol at all the noobs who think that bc they have brembos, they avoided an accident. they dont make the difference you think they do, believe it or not, tires are what make the difference in terms of braking 99% of the time. buy the brembos for looks, and unless you track your car, you wont notice a difference.

i love my brembos.... for starters they look bad@$$ behind my asanti's and the cost diffrence isnt enough to really worry about, i mean if u drive your car 15k a year your gonna need pads what maybe once every year and a half to 3 years? and unless u neglect the car your rotors should last even longer... as far as performance, i love how well the car stops(maybe its my mich. ps2s helpin also) but compared to my old 03 cobra that comes with a pretty good stock brake set up....this car with the brembos feels much better stopping wise.....

That's something one can never predict no matter what brakes one has. Emergencies can happen and may require panic stops and/or avoidance maneuvers.
