Send them an email and ask for a discount. G35driver does not seem to work anymore.

For street driving and the normal mountain run, etc I would save the few hundred and get the 1-pc front 4-pot kit. The 2-pc is better but for the money you may never use it.

The 2 piece is better if you plan on keeping the car for a very long time too, the replacement cost for the ring hardware is much cheaper than replacing the rotors. Just another benefit to consider.

The 2 piece is more efficient at evacuating heat as well, if you plan on taking the car to the track, I would recommend getting the 2 piece kit. But for street use, 2 piece is overkill. But it looks damn nice.

I have also seen the R1 Concepts product but was not sure if the quality was there. Are they really working well for you, and do you have ceramic brakes w/ the upgraded rotors? I hear the drilled rotors are more of a risk than just slotted rotors so Im looking at brand EBC right now. Any suggestions?

i'm in the market for new brakes (non brembo) also. i was thinking of jumping in on the group deal for replacement rotors, stainless steel braided lines and a good set of pads. stainless lines make a huge difference on brake feel. also, you have to do good research as to what pad you want to use. my old maxima had slotted zinc plated rotors, stainless steel braided lines and axxis ultimate brake pads. those brake pads dusted quite a bit, but the initial bite was super good! the pedal became nice and firm. it felt like an unbeatable setup.

What brand of rotors and brakes are you interested in (non-brembo)? Im looking at R1 Concepts but I dont know of anyone that has used them in the past.

the R1 concepts actually look decent. if the actual product is what was advertised then it's a good buy. my first choice would be to jump in on the stoptech deal, but even stoptech has had their problems in the past when they first came out. i'm not certain, but their rotor supplier gave them rotors that cracked. point being, just because it's the big brand name doesn't mean they're the absolute best. if i had to pick and choose right now, it would be the R1 cross/slotted rotors, axxis ultimate pads and stainless steel lines. i've had both brembo and non brembo drilled, slotted, drilled/slotted replacement rotors on my various cars ('90 4 runner, '92 S13, '97 A32) and if they were just installed without my knowing it i wouldn't be able to tell the difference. i would even go out and say to just get quality blanks and spend on good pads and SS lines. we just need more reviews on the R1concept line of products.

i noticed you mentioned EBC. i've had experience with EBC brand greenstuff pads on my sister's subaru 2.5RS (GC impreza). terrible pad, worse than stock. that doesn't like to bite AT ALL lol. almost dangerous. had her brakes re-bled and the rotors resurfaced later and still no improvement. i'm not saying it will be terrible for our cars but i paid decent money for those pads when stock pads would have performed much better. my $.02.

It could be that there were bubbles in your braking system, since this is mostly responsible for a mushy pedal feel.

As of the 04 system, if you can afford to change pads and rotors frequently, just use OEM pads and some upgraded rotors (like from Stoptech) since the 04 system is actually GOOD for stopping... yet not so good for brake dust and brake life. The old pads BITE!

Just like what Tim said, you can try out their OEM caliper 13" BBK system at racingbrake.com
