what pads last longest for brembos?

my front pads are almost done and ive only driven like 7,000 miles since i changed them. im guessing if im lucky ill get 10,000 miles out of the fronts. i have not checked the rears yet. i did do a track day at streets of willow but im a beginner so i wasnt going to fast. also like 10-15 canyon cruises. this car is currently my daily driver and i usually drive very conservatively so even with a little bit of spirited driving in the mix id say 10,000 miles out of brake pads is a bit excessive....

do brembo pads last longer than axis ultimates? is there other pads that last longer with the performance?

Brake pads are a tradeoff:

Great initial bite and cold braking power = high dust and short life
High fade resistance, long life and low dust = weaker initial bite and cold braking power

Personally, I'd rather spend the $140 on Brembo OEM pads every 3 years - they're not hard to change. Another option for you is to get a dedicated track pad (and maybe even rotors if you want to get fancy) and pop those in and out for track days.

brembo every 3 years? how many miles do u get out of the brembos? i cant tell which dusted more. i never did any track days with brembo pads so i dont know if they are better than the axis ultimates which are better.

axis ultimates are only $110 bucks for front and rear. im going to have to research these project mu pads.... how come these have lasted you so many miles?

thanks people!

Impossible to compare pads using miles driven because every situation is diffferent as to applications per mile and number of fractional seconds per application.

Unless you use 2 cars and they closely follow each other for every mile in 20,000 miles.

Well, 3 years is for me and so far I'm almost at 17k miles on my original OEM brembo pads. By my calcs, I should get another 3-4k out of the fronts, though, and longer out of the rears.

so if i were to go from hawk hp+ to hawk hps i should get longer pad life but a decrease in braking performance? im thinking of switching to hawk hps but i really love how the axis ultimate pads totally screech lfreakin loud!!! do the hps pads squeak?

lower speed bite is less, esp cold from what I've read on here and other forums. But fade and dust should be less, I hear the same complaints about squeaking. But installation technique as well as rotor condition and break-in can be factors too.
It seems I read the fewest complaints about Project Mu and also Satisfied street pads tirerack sells. But only a handful of people seem to have them.

HP+ is more of a track pad = higher heat handling and fade resistance, but need to be warmed up more.
HPS is a street pad = slightly lower heat handling and fade resistance, but still need to be warmed up a bit.

HPS should have a bit better initial bite on the street than HP+, should squeal less and be easier on your rotors than HP+. Still, I was never happy with the HPS in a Northeast climate. My HPS on my 300zx never squealed, but I also bedded them properly, which can play a role.

btw, i love how my ultimates squeak like train brakes, im gonna miss people closing their windows at stop lights
