new pads+rotors

I have an 04 G35 COUPE Automatic

My pads are 50% worn and instead of buying OEM pads from the dealer im wondering if you guys can recommend a better pad.

Your car for daily driving, track use, mix of both? That will really determine what kind of brakes you will need.

for normal daily driving, i have heard that Hawk pads are really good with low dust.

daily driving.. i dont race..
once in a while i floor it but not in the track... im a regular everyday driver.

My brake calipers? are also rusty.. then the brake disc is rusty too i think..

anything i can do about that?

The calipers will rust pretty quickly.

Calipers ought not to be rusting, aren't they aluminum?

Stay away from Hawk's. I have them and they are terrible. I liked them at first because of the low dust, but the bite on them is terrible and they SQUEAL like a dying pig!

if your going with new pads and rotors grab a set of Project Mu pads and rotors. there meant to work together. just a thought

I too heard at Infiniti service that the Hawks were noisey. I went with the Akebono Pro Acts. There is no squeal, and almost no dust.

Only the high-end fixed calipers use aluminum I think. Typical OE stuff is cast iron.
