It this part the lower control arm?

I was under the car the other day and noticed this pivot point for the lower suspension on the left front of the car. The arm was not centered on the splines.

I used a rubber hammer to get it back in place to look like the photo below, but I don't think it's a permanent fix.

From the front suspension drawing in the service manual, it appears that it is the lower control arm. I just want to verify it before ordering a new one.

No. 13 appears to be the part I need and is called the transverse link in the service manual.

www.everythingg35. com lists it as the lower control arm, No. 11. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...11&catalogid=1

Yep that is it and you have bushing failure, you might be able to just get the bushing,s and have a shop press them in the control arm. Also an alignment should be done as well.

Thanks. It should be covered under warranty, but my car is low and has a body kit so I'm afraid that the dealer would cause more damage than buying a new arm and installing it my self. It's $163.69 online.

Over the last week or so, I have been hearing excessive grinding/squeaking coming from the driver's front suspension area, so today I jacked it up and decided to take a look and my LCA has done the EXACT same thing. I'm lowered on 350Z H-Techs so I'm wondering if that is part of the problem. Anyway, where did you find a replacement LCA? I need to order one as well. Thanks!

Dang, time for someone to offer poly bushing inserts. I wonder if Energy or someone has them?

While my car was on the lift, I saw mine was like this as well. They people at the dyno strapped the front of my car to the lower control arm, so it pulled the arm off center.

Update: I got mine from infinitipartsusa.com and installed it in less than an hour with hand tools. It's all good now.

Did you get the whole arm or just the bushing? Nismo offers a replacement bushing I might do.

I got the whole arm. I don't think I could have replaced my bushings.

I wonder if my lower control arm was damaged when they strapped it down on the dyno.

Did you install it loose, put the wheel back on and put it on a ramp before doing the final torque down?

No. I have no way to do that.
