Bent STRUT.. Need HELP!!!!

I have a HKS Coilover system and my trusted mechanic told me that I bent the FORK area of the strut (Front drivers side). I called around and found to my stocking amazement that I needed to replace the whole front coilover assembly which is like a $1000 and thats how much I paid for all four of the coilovers. Does anyone know if I can get the "fork" re-bent?

Suggestions PLEASE..

Is the leg leading up to the lower mount bent? Or is the lower mount bent in a way so that too messed as to allow the suspension control to slip in? If the lower leg is bent, you cannot repair it as bending it back will fracture the pressurized shell base and vent all the gas and oil out of the dampner, rendering it useless. Consider heating the lower leg at your own risk, will heat soak be a issue creeping up to the oil resevoir in the body?

Did your calling around include HKS? I know KW replacement parts are stupid expensive, but $1000 for one dampner is even worse then them.

Which HKS coilover do you have? LS, LS+, RS ect?
