I was told a while back that I could increase the lip size on 3 piece wheels, is this true? im thinking about purchasing some HRE's that are 3 piece and wanted to go bigger on the rear lip. any info is appreciated. thanks

 

I dont have any info, but it will mess up the weight of the wheel and wont ride very well. But hey Id sacrifice ride for 6" lips

 

Why would it do that? 3 piece non welded wheels can be taken apart and new barrels can be installed by the manufacturer. You'll have to contact them to see if they offer that service

 

HRE will re-hoop wheels for you. One of my bosses had that done for his Vette.

 

oh sorry I thought he was having some other company make them. I change my mind its definetly possible
