Custom Padded armrests for 03-04 Coupe doors.

See pics below. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A SET, ADD YOUR NAME TO LIST BELOW AND I WILL CONTACT YOU. I am working on getting an exact match for the willow interior and sedan models and need a car for R&D for about an 2 hours...you can wash ur car in my driveway and use my supplies , if you want a free pair of armrests and are in Socal, please PM and well set something up.

I have been stuck at home getting over pneumonia and have had lots of time on my hands. I decided to make some padded arm rests that resemble those on the 05-07 G35 interiors, since the 03-04's just have a hard plastic one. I searched around for suitable material and found a pretty much dead on match to the similated leather pattern that the plastic doors resemble. I used 1 inch thick padding and built a wood frame so the pieces are completely removable and mountable.

Let me know what your guys think, what I ended up with was an extremely comfortable arm rest that literally makes my drive more enjoyable. a couple a spots underneath are visible and are being fixed. These shots were taken pretty much right after I finished and just wanted to mount and try it out. Sorry frot the pics being a little out of order.

Did anyone spot my driving gloves in the door?

haha thanks. Ive been DIY on the G a lot the last couple of days: made my own grounding kit, armrests, installed UTR roof spoiler and reinstalled intake. Stoptech stage 2 brake kit goes on next week and megan test pipes with flex joints but Im letting my brothers shop do that. DIY heatshield similar to the Stillen is currently being worked on tommorrow.

I wouldn't mind something like that under my desk at work to nap on!

if anyone is interested in a set add your name to the list, they make the drive really comfortable and are in the perfect spot for your elbow. Much more comfortable that putting your arm up high on the top of the door near the window.

Cost me $30 bucks but I had a coupon to get the faux leather and padding material at 50% off. I wasted some material testing.

I can get a nice micro suede for the willow interiors, which I think I can scotchguard to keep it cleaner. I will report back tommorrow when I get a better feel for what supplies I can get.
