$874 for 1 brake caliper and 2 pads?!
So the other day I was driving with my windows down and I noticed a horrible metal on metal grinding sound coming from my car. So I tracked down the noise and I realized my left rear brakes were causing it. Took it to Baker Infiniti in Charleston and dropped it off, today they called me with an estimate of $874.15 for a new L/R caliper (mine siezed), new rear brake pads and to resurface the rotors. To make a long story short, I don't have $874 and was wondering if there was a place I could purchase the caliper (costing $500) for less?

https://g35driver.com/forums/questionable-posts/180815-fs-03-coupe-oem-brakes-rotors-parts-pics-make-offer.html
and rotors you should be able to find very easily
also...the rear pads + resurfacing the rotors shouldnt cost more than $150

You paid $150 for a ROTOR? right?
BTW, have another mech look at it. There is NO reason to REPLACE an entire caliper assembly unless its burnt up. Every part can be replaced. The Labor is a little higher becaus the rear rotors are a little harder to get off. There is also the E brake shoes to deal with.
