do a search. There are so many threads out there that can answer your questions.

oh yeah but when you search, search Brakes not breaks

ya typo sorry..

Well can you at least tell me if this will work:

I want to replace all my rotors to drilled rotors from stoptech.

Also replace my pads with hawk pads

ANd then replace caliper with something that looks nicer than stock(what do you suggest), my caliper looks ugly and rusty

depends on how much you wana spend. Big brake kits aren't cheap but most always will provide you with a nicer looking caliper. Be prepared to spend at least 1500.00 probably just for the front kit.

You can replace your pads and bakes for under 500 for a nice set of drilled rotors and pads. But for a brake upgrade F&R you're looking at several thousand dollars not including labor to install.

You could remove your calipers and paint them yourself. Just get them sandblasted first. Have them professionally painted.

I went with drilled slotted rotors from r1 concepts. Got all four for about $140. They look sweet and are holding up great so far.

It's been discussed here and in the Brakes and Suspension forum, but Hawk pads really aren't that great for the street. While they dust less than OEM and have better fade resistance, they don't bite very well. They will require more pedal effort than stock pads will. I have used Hawk HPS on a prior car and was not impressed; in fact they made the car scary in the rain and cold weather.

Z-1 Motorsports

I recently did an upgrade to my brake system. I went online and saw many HIGH priced kits so I went to Z 1 Motorsports on the forum and bought a set of drilled and slotted rotors for 325.00. I also bought a set of the Hawk brake pads for front and rear so the whole upgrade was done for under 500.00. I installed everything myself. That may be an alternative for you, hope this may help you out.

so no one is having any problems with their drilled rotors cracking? Or was it only if you track them and put them in a lot of stress that they crack?

hawk HPS pads are great for the street! they are quiet, low dust, and generally last longer than stock!

as far as rotors (which you will most likely have to change too)... go with stop tech slotted rotors... they will last longer, high quality / durable rotors...

best of all... I have them instock all the time and the best prices!

I got the brembo package from Z1 motorsports and they have the same thing for the non-brembo cars. Here's the link and info. They look nice on the car! The rotors are brembo rotors, pads are hawks, and the ss lines are actual Z1 lines

http://www.z1motorsports.com/350_g35...oducts_id=2240

<TABLE width="100%"><TBODY><TR><TD class=main>*Z1 Brake Upgrade Package 350z/G35 (Base)

$575
</TD><TD class=main align=right>

</TD><TD class=main align=right></TD></TR><TR><TD class=main colSpan=3>Z1 Motorsports stock sized brake upgrade package for 2003+ 350Z or G35 equipped with the standard base brake package.
This kit will take your stock brake system to the next level. If you are looking to upgrade your brakes but don't want to spend thousands on the many big brake kits available this is the kit for you!

This kit includes:

- ATE Super Blue Racing High Performance Brake Fluid for coping with the extreme demands posed by motor racing. Thanks to its outstanding wet boiling point, it has highest safety reserves. It is used in motor racing by leading car makes. Dry boiling point 280 degrees C (535F). Wet boiling point 200 degrees C (392F). Exceeds all DOT4 standards. 1 liter container.

- All Four X Drilled and Slotted Rotors dissipate heat away from the rotors to reduce warping Zinc plated to prevent corrosion and increase life. Double disc grinding ensures parallelism. Mill balanced (withing 150 g-cm) to prevent vibration. Cross drilled to reduce weight

- Stainless Steel Braided Brake lines (All Four) Serious race car owners have used flexible brake hoses of extruded TeflonTM for decades. They are protected against abrasion and swelling by a sheath of tightly braided stainless steel wire. The resistance to "line swell" both improves the firmness or "feel" of the brake pedal and reduces the time required for effective pressure to reach the brakes and begin to slow the car.

- Hawk HPS Brake Pads (For All Four Calipers) Hawk Performance HPS pads offer 20-40% more stopping power and higher resistance to brake fade than most original equipment or standard replacement pads. This makes them more responsive and durable than most standard original brakes.

350Z and G35 brake upgrade packages are in stock at Z1 Motorsports ready for shipment or installation.
Please specify the year of your car below as the base brakes on the 2006+ models are larger in front.
