guys this is soooo subjective. If you compare the unrevised setup to the stock g35 most people will think it feels less comfortable, and It should! You are swapping out a touring suspension setup up for sporty/track setup. You install the springs/shocks for a more sporty feel, it will not feel as comfy as the stock g35 which isn't as sporty but more plush feeling. It's a matter of opinion! I for instance can't stand the bounce feeling of the upgraded aftermarket suspensions. For daily driving it's just not as comfy plane and simple.

What does "crap" ride like for you? Just about any lowering setup is going to be firm compared to stock. It can also have some bounce to it.
I'm guessing you came from a non-sport sedan? Harsher ride is the sacrifice you make for better handling. FYI the springs on the sedans with the sporkt package and the unrevised 350z are the same spring rate so the ride quality would be the same of a sport sedan.

I dont mind the suspension being stiff/firm, but bouncy is a completely different story. Supposedly the suspension only had about 11k on the set. There were no leaks and the shocks seem to compress/decompress fine (well the rears at least).
I'd rather spend my money on some other mods, since i rode in another g today...
but im gonna order up the shocks and report back when i install the new shocks.

Coming from a non-sport sedan to one with the sport suspension takes some getting used to. Ask for another opinon locally before you order up brand new shocks. IF the car bounces as in up and down after goin over a speed bump or something, then i could understand. If the road is not completely flat (most freeways) and you feel the road more since the suspension is stiffer, your car will have an effect of "bouncing" as it goes over the imperfections. I feel that sometimes on the freeway and if you pay close attention to the way other car's shocks react to the road, you'll see that at the end...the problem is not your setup, but its the road. I hope this helps
I have the Sport sedan and I have a set of 350Z unrevised springs I have yet to install.
Question: Are the Red Sport shocks up to the task? Do I need to get the 350Z shocks also? I know that shocks work in a "sweet spot" when they are riding on relatively smooth roads so the ride is not that rough so, will lowering it by 1" put it out of the "sweet spot"?

I don't really know what kind of effect the 1 inch less of travel for the shock will have, someone may have a better answer for that question.

The shocks are completely fine and up to the task. I'm telling you, coupe springs out back. The .5" higher ride height out back makes all the difference.
My G has the sport package therefore I didn't have to swap shocks. The firmness of my G didn't increase on bit when I added the Z/coupe springs. The only thing different is slightly better handling, a more stable highway ride, and the pogoing effect.
I've had non-sport loaners and damn those things are softly sprung. They don't handle badly, but they don't handle like the Sport-equipped nor ride as harshly.
