I mainly just want the front and back to have even gap. If I lower just the front, will the car be riding silly? The front bouncing a little and the rear end bouncing more? Anyone done this?

 

Coupe springs will lower you car about half inch. That should make it about level. I have some front only if your interested pm me your zip I'll let them go cheap.

 

I did it on my Maxima, I would do both if I were you. The rears take literally 20mins for both sides. You'll have a much tighter and bouncier front end which could get dangerous if you hit some bumps while going through a curve.

 

Here's my 03 on Z springs in the front and coupe springs in the rear. I came up with the idea of teaming the Z/coupe springs because I wanted an even drop while using OEM parts. I think it's a pretty common setup now.

 

You don't want to just change one set of springs, it throws off the dynamic balance of your car too much. I would always get matched kits. Most aftermarket ones are made to be level. Before my coilovers I had H&R made for the sedan which put it right at the top of the tire front and rear.

 

I've done that while waiting for my coupe springs to arrive. Actually I had Z springs all around but the back was riding too low so I put the original springs back on the rear. With Z's up front and original in the back the car was 'pitched' forward a bit. Easily fixed with the seat controls but the other passengers are out of luck. Plus the ride dynamics were off.

 

Damn, I'm still undecided about using Z or G coupe spring in the rear. Good thing swapping the rear springs is pretty easy.
