Suspension Replacement Options

My ’03 coupe is rounding 76k miles. I am looking into options for suspension replacements or upgrades. I am not looking to slam my car. I do not want to mess with camber or anything of the sort. I prefer not to lower it at all. I will be running 18x8 +23 F and 18x8 + 18 R.

Options:
1.) Replace the shocks and springs with OEM 07 parts.
2.) Tein Basic Coilovers
3.) Eibach Pro Street Coilovers

I also indent to buy a GT Spec Mid-Chassis Reinforcement.

Total should be < $2000 installed.

Is there any other avenue where I should be looking?

1. 05 6mt parts would be the same, based on what you want, very cost effective since they would be stiffer vs your non sport car.

2. IMO, up your budget to Tein CS or Cusco Zero2

3. These are Kw varient 1's, all Eibach does is powdercoat the springs a different color. I won't touch any of the Kw's because they use a progressive rear spring with a high spread between initial and final rates. Based on your desire no not lower you'd want to make a different choice anyhow.

How much the GT sport braces will effect regidity is fully debateable.

I have the sport option on my ’03. I always thought it was weak. Lately, I found out that this did not include any suspension parts. I am kind of excited to see how the car handles after the upgrades. Cusco Zero2 seem to fit my no-drop coilover category. Thanks for the recommendations.

Your oem suspension is "sport tuned" which all coupes have that were delivered on oem 17/18 inch wheels, the real sport suspension didn't appear until 2005 on car's delivered with oem 19 inch wheels.

Alright, I have some work to do. I have been educating myself about different coilover characteristics. I have a few questions.

Comparability Issue:

I keep seeing Spring Rating ranging 300-700 for Lbs/in and 8-12 for kg/mm. When I convert kg/mm to lbs/in, I do not get numbers in the 100s, but rather in the 10s. What is the equation?

Clarification:

Higher spring rate = faster response =harder ride

Any words about Rs-r Sports or HKS RS or LS+?

Thanks.
