pedal resistant... HELP!
It only happens the first time I start the car each day (usually morning on the way to work). My brake pedal is resistant to pressure. I push, but it wont budge. Then after I have driven a 1/2 a mile or so it seems to work normal and the pedal responds to normal pressure.
Its not too long before it starts to work normally, but trying to stop before backing into another car, stopping for the gate to my complex, the driveway and first stop sign are a bitch every day.
Anyone have any idea what this could be?

I live in Scottsdale. The desert does get cold at night, but I don't think we have sen anything below high 30s yet.
Brakes are OEM I believe. My dad kept the car dealer maintained before he sold it to me.
As for checking all that tech stuff... wha? I don't know how to do any of that. Is it simple stuff, or should I be running myself into Just Brakes?
I'm not a car buff by any means, but I don't want to screw up my car or have some shop screw me.
