Thumbs up Added sport springs 1.5" better choice.

I added sports lowering springs to my 06 g35 coupe. The G is pretty low stock so I was worried it would ruin the ride and it would be way too low. It took me a weekend (I took my time) but it rides just as good and looks better. I was pleasantly surprised! I chose the 1.5" drop springs only and I have the stock 17"'s rims, but I do have to "creep over" speed bumps and it does rub on the big (speed )bumps. I used the pictures and "HOW TO" from this site and it was very helpful. The front was more complicated then the rear, I think it would of taken my four hours if I was working faster. The Rear is a little higher than the front and I do lose traction more than before, but i dont regret it. Hopes this helps if anyone is thinking of swapping out their springs. Just do it!

What kind of "sports lowering springs?" The G, pretty low stock? =/

Anyway, glad things went well. Welcome to the forums!

Most of the generic springs for the G35 on ebay has spring rates of 250f and 225r which is softer than the softest G35 sedan non-sport OEM springs which is 283f 308r. Oem coupe spring rates are 314f 342r btw.

That probably explains the comfortable ride, i'm thinking it's a good possibility of a bottom-out. Although keeping your bump stop on your shocks might protect you a little bit.
