EBC greenstuff pads to replace OEM

Hi all you brake experts out there...

I just wanted to know if it is possible to switch out my OEM pads for EBC's greenstuff 2000 series (organic material). I pretty much only do daily street driving so I won't be driving at incredibly high speeds over 80.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

I have had them on for about a year now. They work as advertised. I have a 2005 sport mt6 sedan.

HOWEVER, the wear TWICE as fast as stock, the wear the rotors at TWICE the rate as stock.

When it's all said and done, I wish I had stayed stock.

Ouch! The OEM rotors wear too fast already. So switching to these pads drives up the cost of rotors. Glad you chimed in. This is great information to have.

Now it depends on which year model you have. Starting in 05', they went with the M35 brakes on the Sport versions. They wear great, have NO dust and stop with very little fade. NOT like some of the standard brakes in the past.

If you are switching to the EBC pads, it is advised to get the EBC sport rotors at the same time. They are only $194/pair for the fronts and $164/pair rear. They will wear much better than OEM rotors as the alloy hardness is matched to their pad's friction coefficient. Also, I would get the Redstuff pads vs. green. The G is pretty heavy and the Red will wear much better too.

Wow, sorry for the late response. Thanks to all who gave their opinions and insight. Looks to me I need to be driving faster and stick to the stock pads...

Thanks again for the advice!
