Tein H-tech OR Tein S-tech
Tein H-tech OR Tein S-tech
I was wondering if someone could tell me if which one they thought was better (listed below) for 20" wheels without having to mess with camber/toe/etc:
1) Would the drop rate of a 350z tein spring be the same for the G35?
2) Should I go with the S-tech or H-tech?
3) Which one is better for daily driver?
4) Is alignment still needed with a drop less than 0.7" and how long do stock shocks last or do I have to get new shocks to?
350z S-tech
350z H-tech
G35 S-tech
G35 H-tech
THANKS!

From what I have read, G35 H-Tech is the route to go for a very mild drop without having to worry about camber or alignment. The 350z H-tech has a little more noticeable drop but still not too bad. The S-tech for both models will definitely require a camber kit. Also, always remember that if you get 350z springs they will drop more than advertised for the G35.

go with the 350Z H-Techs and be done with it.
no camber kits needed front or rear.
mild, but noticeable drop.
no need to roll fenders, unless running ultra aggressive offsets.
linear springs with good spring rates.
ride very similar to stock sport suspension.
excellent quality and not that expensive.
enjoy.

Are these 350Z H-Techs also a good drop for an 05X?? I want to drop the car without worrying about any camber issues, and also don't want to affect the AWD performance. What about shocks? If I can drop with these can I use the stock shocks??

I know there may be exceptions, but I am not trying to pass along wrong information. I ran 350Z H-Techs on my 03 sedan, on my 05 coupe and several friends of mine run them as well. It is the spring of choice for daily driven G's and those who don't want to deal with the inherent camber issues that come with lowering a vehicle. None of my friends have any camber issues running these. Every car has been able to get within specs and that is why I recommended these to the poster. If it were any other spring, I would agree with you, but the 350Z H-Techs seem to be pretty consistent. I think he would be safe in choosing these.
Thanks for the info, do you know how much of a drop the 350z tein H-tech gives the G35 coupe? They say that H-tech on the 350z is 0.3 F and 0.2 R, is it the same for the G? Thanks.

you. i don't know if you would need camber kits or anything else or if there's a DIY, so if someone could answer

There are a bunch of posts but lets see what I can answer for you guys
FROM WHAT I READ:
- 350z H-techs or S-techs are about "+.5" for G35 (So .3 for 350z is .8 for G35)
-H-techs for the most part dont require a camber kit BUT EACH CAR IS DIFFERENT, you cant be to sure
- Its a DIY if you are getting shocks aswell as springs because with springs only you need a .....something I forgot what its called. Look in the DIY section

each car is different means that you may or may not be able to get away with not installing camber kits. Some people are able to get alignment back into spec, while some people are not. You really don't know until you go to the alignment shop, so your best bet is to just get at least a rear kit installed along with lowering springs so you don't have to get two alignments.
Here is a X with 20's and 350z tein h-techs all around. Yes you will run into chamber issues. What I remember the rear were -2.0.
