Upgraded brake noise

Upgraded my brakes to Slotted Rotors from EverythingG35.com with Hawk Pads....Recently noticed that a get a clicking noise under light braking...Wanted to know if it had anything to do with the Slots in the rotors.
Anyone's input appreciated...so i know where to locate the problem.

Thanks.

Do a real UPGRADE to non slotted or non drilled if noise is a concern.
OEM will be the quietest since they are made from special soft fast wearing cast iron.

i think its the Hawk Pads, they get alittle noisey under light braking cause there make to brake Hard, and so are the slotted rotors i believe, i could be wrong but those are meant for hard driving situations haha try driving around and brake alil more harder and see if it still does it

Slotted rotors are known to make a bit of noise (clicking/"swooshing") under braking, but this can vary by brand. Check out some of the reviews on Tirerack.com of various slotted rotors. I believe some have described it there.

Why would you consider what you changed as an upgrade instead of just a change which may changed and defeated all the work oem did to try to quieten brakes.

You may have actually lengthened your cold panic stopping distance vs oem with your change!

I drive 30 miles through the canyons every day just to go to work and 40% better spopping power and very little brake dust makes it an upgrate to me. My OEM brakes started grinding metal after 15000 miles

I'm surprised they lasted that long under canyon abuse.

Prove "40% better spopping power" that means 40% shorter stopping distance than oem --------physically and scientifically impossible to stop 46 feet shorter than 115 feet from 60 mph. Probably impossible to
stop 10% better

Gigantic expensive BIG BRAKE KITS are only able to approach <10% [5-10 feet] improvement as test on 350z [same brakes as G35] by STOPTECH.

Thats a given....However, what i was looking for was consistent braking power....the fade on OEM brakes under canyon runs is terrible....with these i am able to run harder and much longer without brake fade....In most cases when anyone upgrades there brakes it isnt to stop a whole lot sooner, its to be able to run their car longer without experiencing brake fade.
