Brake Questions and Wheel Question
Couple of quick questions...
First of all, does anyone know what a new set of rotors and calipers from Infiniti cost?
I don't want them, but I'm trying to cut a deal with my dealer where when my brakes go bad, he gives me the cash that it costs for them to purchase the brakes, so I can get a BBK, and not have to pay for the whole thing, since my car is still under warranty.
Secondly, which BBK would you guys reccomend? Looking at Brembos, but not sure which yet.
I am going to get new wheels this Spring, and looking at 19", I'm assuming 20"s won't fit...
I haven't done any lowering to my car or any suspension upgrades, what would fit best in the well without scraping rubbing, but still big enough to fit a BBK?

Are you saying you are expecting your dealer to give you the cash for your brakes if they are to be replaced so you can buy a big brake kit?
That will NOT happen number one, and 2nd, expect about $400 at most which will not get you near any big brake kit cost.
Unless you have a older G35 Sedan the rotors / pads are not covered under warranty, and in my 5 years working with these cars at dealerships now, I have never seen a brake caliper fail and need to be replaced under warranty.
Best big brake kit for the money is a STOP TECH kit. 13" front w/ 12.9" rear or 14.1" front w/ 14.1" rear if you want more looks than performance...
Hard to lower the car without scraping, but you arent going to scrape anything important...

I forgot to mention something... The dealer that I bought the car from is a used car dealer, I bought the car for wholesale +300 for the middleman he bought it from, the guy is my best friend from highschools dad, and he owns the place. I have a 4 year warranty from him on all the parts, and I already have warped rotors (bought it used last June with 40k miles its an 04) so I could probably get him to pay for whatever his price is, and then just use that cash to get a big brake kit. I know it's not going to provide much help, but I'll look into it and see..
I don't want to lower the car, I just wanted to make sure that with 19s or 20s it wouldn't scrape with the stock suspension.
Do you happen to have a rough price estimate for that brake kit? I can't find one for the 04 that doesn't say "except AWD"...

usually brakes are covered on those used car warranties...
usually those warranties are through a 3rd party company that what ever shop you bring the parts to they will have to file a claim with the warranty company. the company will only warranty the primary cause of failure part, not anything else affected by it...
what kind of car do you have?
