2005 G35 6MT Brake Rotors

Hi all,

I have been trying to get some winter tires for my G35c, and just got off the phone with my local dealer. I have been hoping to get 17's (cheaper tires), but the dealer told me that about halfway through the '05 model year, the factory changed the brake rotor size, which can cause problems fitting 17" rims. He suggested that I seriously consider going up to 18" wheels/tires to avoid this problem.

Has anyone else heard of this issue? My stock wheels/tires were the 19"s, as it is the 6MT.

EDIT: He also said that I'd need +20-22 offset for my 18" rims, and that they were hard to find. I thought I'd heard stuff about +30 offsets... what exactly is required here?

Can't be any bigger than the 03-04 Brembos and there's 17's that would fit/clear the bulky brembo's.

You can also consider 17's from the 350z, as they clear the bulky brembo's.

Do you mean 17" OEM 350z rims? Do they have the right offset etc. to fit a gcoupe?

How much do Nissan dealers charge for these parts? The Infiniti dealer quoted me $179/rim for the 18's, which isn't a half bad price (I think).

G coupe is practically a 4 seater Z, shares most of the same parts so yes, right offsets.

as you see on the posted picture, the 17" OEM 350z rims will probably look better than any other aftermarket 17's on the G, IMO.
