Aglinement question HELP

I went into midas yesterday and they said they can;t do an alignment for an 07 g35 coupe because you need a special OEM scan tool that can do the alignment for a g35. Called the dealer and they said that is true you need the OEM scan tool. Does anyone know what this SCAN TOOL is and i got an alignment at a recommended place on this forum ( auto innovations). i called them and asked if they have this scan tool and they said no they don;t but they did my alignment in the past before...so...does this mean they did an incorrect job on the car? anyone know what this scan tool does and do we need it to do an alignment..? Help...i am confused...BTW Midas was telling me to call the bar because you have to have the tool to do the alignment or else it is done incorrectly..

I've never heard of that tool. They need to have the OEM specs for the '07 G35...maybe that's what they don't have?

the " tool " is supposed to be used if your vehicle is equipped with VDC or something. I was reading the midas computer when the tech showed me..

I don't see why you would need a tool to adjust mechanical suspension parts on the car.

I actually had a local firestone tell me that as well, and they showed me some print out from the computer. Went to another Firestone and they aligned my car without a problem. *shrug* Go to another place.
