my review with pics: Tein S-techs (z) from OEM Sport tuned springs
Thanks redlude, your the man!
The softer spring rates really worried me, because tho I know the OEM suspension isn't very soft, I actually like the ride a little stiffer because I like the road feel better.
A follow up camber question:
I figure that whatever spring you get you'd want to get the rear camber/toe kit at the very least, because 1.) the kit isn't too expensive (spc camber/toe is around $150-200?) and 2.) the rear wheels are the drive wheels and will wear out the fastest. I've read that for tire wear that incorrect toe will actually affect more than slightly negative camber from lowering.
I know there's debate of when you need a camber kit and when you do not and what is spec and what is not. I've read that the front tires have no adjustment and that camber kits for the front wheels are much more expensive because you have to get a new a-arm and what not. Do the OEM fronts have any sort of toe adjust ability? Would your toe angle in the front wheels get out of line when you lower the car with these 350z s-tech springs?
I've also noticed that for my G, the rear wheel tires, the middle wears out much faster, and I've check the tire pressure to make sure I'm not over inflating....in fact if anything i'm more under inflated than over inflated. Would a camber/toe kit be able to help solve this problem? or what is causing this problem? or would it almost be better to run some more negative camber so that the tire wears out more towards the inside, then just get the tire flipped?
Oh yea chriscollins, the drop looks good, I'm basically looking to run the same set-up, with just OEM 19's...sure they're factory, but they still look good to me. Where did you get the spacers? (I'm also in SoCal) How much do those cost? Please keep us up to date about the ride quality, and any camber/tire issues you run into.
I've always drove a lowered car, and I've run into soo many problems, little problems, but still problem, which makes me hesitant to lower the G, but dayam if i want to soo bad, for the look and the feel!

just an update re: camber for all ya'll who are wondering:
I recently took my car into Santa Monica Infiniti for a free oil change (thank you email list for the service dept!), and specifically had them check for uneven wheel wear due to my relatively recent drop.
Came back with 'no uneven wear.'
now, i don't know exactly how thorough they were on their check, but for now, it relieves any camber issues i was worried about.
(NOTE: I never put any camber kit on, nor adjusted my camber or alignment or anything!)
Now, not to say that in a longer span of time, uneven wear won't be more noticeable, but within 6 months or so of the drop, with no adjustments, its all good.
just an update.

chriscollins,
now that you have the springs on for awhile, is the car any lower from when you first installed the s techs or is it still the same? any uneven drop? also, does it still rides the same like you mentioned in your first post. i'm looking into the same springs and was just wondering. btw, nice ride and luv the drop.

This is the cheapest I've found Project Kics Spacers http://www.autornd.com/catalog/produ...3055914be98623
I would spend the extra $20 and get hub rings
You can also get Ichiba Spacers from http://www.g35parts.com/9083/osc/pro...roducts_id=611
Call to verify that they are Ichiba, it doesn't say in description. Not sure of the quality as most recommend Project Kics
For spings, PM the user JSCspeed. You can also find him in the Marketplace -> Vendor Classified -> Suspension

update.
Just got back from dealership replacing my wheel bearings under warranty.
Found that my front wheels are wearing unevenly.
So i must recant my claim that no adjustments are necessary, i shoulda known, but was trying to avoid any more $$...
So, like advised under normal advisment when lowering...
AFTER 1 MONTH OF DRIVING WITH YOUR NEW SPRINGS, GO GET AN ALIGNMENT, TELL THEM WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR CAR SO THEY CAN ADJUST TOE, CAMBER, AND ALIGNMENT APPROPRIATELY.
And yes, after driving for a while, the drop is sliiiightly lower, but not much. The ride is the same, but maybe a littttle bit softer now.

I'm not sure what caused the wheel bearings to go bad.
BUT, i did tell the service rep and the mechanic that i had lowering springs, and 25mm spacers, and they didn't say 'oh THAT's what it is...'
So i'm assuming its just normal wear?
Anyway, so now my tires are almost ready to be replaced (not due to lowering, but just in general) so i'm thinking new wheels (20's) while i'm at it? Since i gotta spend money on new tires anyway?

here's my for sale thread.

obviously did a search to go back this far....but do you need to purchase the camber adjust kit to have cambers adjusted, or what all needs to be done besides an alignment for everything to be setup correctly so I don't have any problems?
