can I install them on stock rotors/etc or do I need to replace rotors?
for brembo I need to replace rotors right?
Thanx
Mike
You don't necessarily need to replace the rotors. I kept my stock rotors becuase weren't warped at all when I installed my Project MUs. And after 1.5 years they still work perfectly.

ok so to be clear I don't need anything special right? no new rotors, no brembo kit, I can just install Project MUs on the place of my standards pads?
thanx

If you're rotors are not warped, you can still use them and be sure to buy the pads for non-brembo brakes if you don't have brembos. Other than that, you should be able to just directly swap out the old pads for the new ones.

Ok, I'm going to be doing some track days, so I need some serious brake power. I bought SS brake lines and ATE Blue fluid, now I need the pads. My friends who tracked their car with Hawk HPS said they weren't good enough for the track, so I'm looking at either the Hawk HP plus pads, or the Nismo R tune. Does anyone have experience with these? Are going to be bad for my rotors (stock brembos)? I know the HP Plus can be used on the street as well but what about the Nismo R's?

My last track day was with the Nismo R-Tune pads and for my driving at Sebring they did great. The are also decent on the street. They are not a track only pad...granted...but I was very pleased with their perfomance.

All the listed above were recommendations made for the oem brembo bbk... would you all recommend the same brake pads for 06 coupe non brembo?

+2 I hear a lot about the Hawk HPS however many seem to say they don't bite as well in the beginning (but that may or may not be referring to the older model years). Trying to figure out what is better.

If I had non Brembo brakes, then no doubt about it, I would get the Grubbs performance brake pads. Where you with us at MSR during their track event? The professional race driver who was giving ride-alongs was running their performance brake pads.. out of this world. He gave ride after ride at insane speeds and the brake pads held up, on stock rotors non-the-less (although he had modified the bumper with some ducting to get air flowing to the brakes). If they made those pads for the Brembo calipers, I would be all over them.
