How long do the stock brakes on the G35's normally last??? Also when the pads were out do you have to replace the rotors with the brakes??? And what do the dealers normally charge for the brakes and rotors???
I'm not mechanically inclined so I wouldn't be changing the breaks myself.

Brakes can last a few miles to the life of the car. You can check them with the wheels still on but if your not mechanically inclined just ask how your pads look next time you get an oil change.

Labor for a brake change Front+Back shouldn't be more than 30 minutes, hour tops!

Parts will cost you for OEM $50 to $100 (Front+Back), probably double for Genuine Nissan parts.

Pads and rotors do not need to be replaced at the same time. In fact that would be a huge waste of money (there are special circumstances where you need to replace the rotors). However sometimes it is necessary to "TURN" the rotors, which means resurface them to tolerable levels. However, even this is usually unnecessary unless you feel a vibration or pulse in your foot when you brake (usually caused by abusing your brakes or torquing your tires to high). This question should be asked by the mechanic when you change your pads.

 

I was under the impression that G35's went through brakes quickly. The G35 is at the top of my list right now for my next car. But I want to make sure I will be able to afford the maintenance and the upkeep. My 02WRX Wagon has been ultra reliable and stock the brakes lasted me (i'm not kidding) 82,275 miles.

I'm not expecting the brakes on the G35 too last long. But someone told me that the G35's brakes need to be replaced about once a year, and you need to change rotors and pads with your brakes.
