Your pads will wear more quickly with drilled and/or slotted rotors. FYI

It shouldn't be that noticeable. I have slotted and drilled/slotted rotors on 2 of my 3 cars. I haven't noticed a difference in how fast my pads wear. The only time I noticed a difference, is when I switched pad compounds.

Perhaps I should have said "may" wear more quickly

In GENERAL, pads will wear faster with slotted rotors. Slotted rotors are also a little harder to resurface. The purpose of slotted rotors is to prevent the pads from glazing.

Drilled rotors can develop stress fractures. The purpose of drilled rotors is to dissipate the gases and heat.

Both are purely bling for street use and like all performance parts, has their give and take.

There are over 7 quality grades of the base cast iron used to pour the rotor, each has it's own unique characteristics.

Axxis Ultimate pads SUCK - do not buy them. Next to no bite when cold.

i beg to differ. i've had them on both my racecar and my old maxima and in both cases they grab very aggressively under all conditions i've driven through. the only downside would be the amount of dust they create.
