Project Mu Rotors & IMPUL Data-G Pads

My brakes needed replacing, so I decided on Project Mu SCR Rotors and IMPUL Data-G pads for my OEM Brembo's.

Here are some pics:
Front:

Rear:

The set:

As you can see, the fronts are slotted, and the rears are slotted and dimpled.
This was not done on purpose, the fronts were also supposed to be slotted and dimpled, but I was shipped only slotted...
Are there any problems with running different front/rear rotors like this?

The pads:

I cant wait to get these on the car!

I'd send the fronts back and get the slotted and dimpled... only because of the fact that its gonna look retarted on the car.

In all honesty, i'd rather have just slotted rotors all the way around.

I've never liked the look of drilled rotors and they are more prone to cracking (even though the ones you have are "dimpled")

I have drilled right now, but I do like the more simple look of the slotted as well, maybe I will just order a set of slotted rears...

Slotted rotors are less likely to crack if you track your car and I think the rounded dimples are less likely to crack than drilled too...I think. I have been happy with my rotors but with the 04 Brembos you get the slotted all the way around.

You have the SCR-Pro for the front and SCR Pure Plus in the rear. From the Project-Mu site it looks like you would need the standard SCR rotor for the rear for the matching 8 slit rotor.

Thanks for the reply, you are the reason I went with The Project Mu rotors

I was hoping to do my Brakes tomorrow, but I think I am going to see it they have any SCR 8 slit rotors for the rear in stock and order those.

BTW, do you have a part number for the rear 8 slit you installed? This way there wont be a mixup when I order them

I am looking at the application list on www.project-mu.co.jp and it LOOKS LIKE the part number is SCRN007 but I really don't know. That box has long been recycled. I can tell you that my rotors came from mynismo.com...maybe they can answer your questions. What year and type of G35 do you have?

Good Luck

You can get the slotted and dimpled rotors for the front but I am sure that is a one piece iron rotor. The two piece fronts only come in slotted. The SCR Pure Plus is less expensive than the SCR rotor and of course the SCR-PRO rotor as well based on the prices listed on the application page...in yen.
