Why pay so much for a strut bar?

Cato, just ping Citymunky how he did the stock cover. He had to do a MOD on it to put it back on to have the Stock Cover Clean Look. See how it's sits higher close to the Strut Bar on his vs mine without the Spacer. He had to cut it in half and brace the two pieces together. Pretty clean easy MOD to do on the cover.

i just installed the powerlab 3/8" spacer and I have the circuit sport STB. clears no problem. 1 piece design is the way to go.

"What to look for in a strut tower brace?
When looking at a strut tower brace to give you the most benefit, it should have the following features:
-Sufficient protection of the strut tower top (to prevent "mushrooming")
-No pivots or heim-style joints to allow the bar to flex or bend, but adjustable, to allow for intention suspension changes.
-Center bar with minimal bends or kinks (straighter is stiffer!)
-Provide adequate underhood clearance (so not to dimple the hood)
-Allow for suspension changes (for those that frequent the track)
-Made from the best materials available (for lightweight, coefficient of thermal expansion)
-Even BMW applied many of these traits to their own strut tower braces when they offered them. For the E36 and E46 models, both used cast aluminum strut tower plates and matched them to tubular steel center bars. "

i forgot i didn't take pictures with the 3/8 spacer with the circuit sport
and I can't take pictures now because my car is all taken apart right now lol.
here are old pictures with the crawford i used to have.
The 3/8 spacer has even more space to spare than the crawford above the plenum.

With a finely tuned $300,000 NASCAR Cup car they can tell the difference between .2th's (that's 2 TENTHS) of a pound of air pressure. That being said, who out there driving a G35 do you think can REALLY be a better driver with a strut bar over one without.
You can spend a hundred grand hopping up any car, especially a G, but that doesn't make you a driver that can negotiate a $20 million dollar driving contract. Experience, experience, experience is the only thing that matters. Heck, even world renoun super car drivers can have the best of the best when it comes to equipment and go years without winning a race. Imagine my surprise when Reed Sorenson came along and got a Cup ride. My wife and I went to high school with his Dad. Was in homeroom (and a few other classes for YEARS), his grandfather owned a roofing company. (I think they still do actually.) Reed drove around in circles in a Legends car for the most part until he was seen by the right guy, at the right time. Doub't they were worried about one strut bar VS another back then. Just getting to the track was all that mattered. Getting that experience was the key for sure.
