Not sure if they mean the setup itself is noisy, but I will say that the ride is harsher and due to the added stiffness, going over bumps is definitely noisier.

I've had Basics on my car for the last 25k + miles and they've been great. Only noise i've gotten is a slight creak/squeak in the rear when going over speedbumps or up driveways, especially when its cold.

rubbers rub?? the tire or the rubber bumpstops and such on the coilovers itself. if on the coilovers, would greasing them up help reduce noise?

+1, the rubber deteriorate after a while and it makes noise. You can always take the shocks off and put a piece of foam or a simliar piece of rubber on the top mount of the rear and it should stop squeaking.

Rubbers squeak because of lack of lubrication. Try Ky, but for real slippery fun use Astroglide.

Same exact experience, here. With the warmer weather, the light squeak has disappeared. Overall, it's an excellent set-up for the money. Gotta love it on the twisties.

Would tein basics with a 1 inch drop handle better than my s techs that have a 2 inch drop? prob a dumb question.

Also how much of a drop can you do with the basics to get NO negative camber?
