Car Lowered on Tein Basics

Pardon my ignorance, but I need some help. My Tein Basics just got installed with lowered ride height. I already see negative camber that I think will need adjustment in both front and rear.

1. What step is first? Alignment?

2. How long should I wait until I get this done? (do the springs on coilovers "settle")

3. If wheel alignment cannot be performed to within factory specs, then I need to buy camber kit?

4. Do alignment shops install camber kits or do I need to go back to the place that installed my coilovers (they don't do wheel alignment)?

Thanks!

1 wait about 2 weeks till you get a alignment
2 if you need a camber kit will only go off how low you go
3 if it can not be aligned to the factory yes you will need a camber kit
4 the aligment shop can put it in

First step is to order the rear SPC Camber/Toe Kit. Its probably $150 from one of our vendors.

Second step is to get them installed as the factory suspension WILL NOT ALLOW you to get into proper specs.

Third step is to follow steps 1 and 2 otherwise you are a complete shmuck for destroying $800+ tires when all you had to do was spend $150 on a camber kit.

Hope this helps.

this is what i did, cuz i too had the basics installed. i waited for a while (1000 miles) to let the car settle. slapped on rear SPC's. then had the car aligned.

no point on aligning after installing coilovers bcuz the car will still need to settle. and no point of aligning before putting on camber kit bcuz you'll have to align again after. rear kit is a must if lowering car. fronts are not necessary unless you got MUCHO $$$.

hope this help, g/l

Keep in mind be very careful of whom you allow to install your rear toebolt kit. Because most shops will not do it properly and do not realize you need to elongate the hole for the toe bolt to allow for full range of adjustment.
