g35 versus g35X

I have a 2004 g35X and am looking to replace the rear shocks. Will shocks designed for the g35 fit on a g35X? Thanks.

Thanks RayRon

I see that you have modified the same vehicle. Will I have to do any modification for the rears to fit or is it a straight "plug and play"? Also, what's different about the fronts?

The rears are "plug and play" The front have a arm to go around the drive shaft where the rwd doesnt.

Thanks!

Are there any aftermarket options for front shock replacement whenever I get to that point?

doesn't that arm transfer over to the new strut though ?

"new" also being a g35 non X strut ?

No aftermarket struts yet. You can send your old ones to koni and get them revalved.

68_gt, the rwd has a stem that comes off the bottom of the strut to bolt onto the lower arm. Where we have a like a half horse shoe shape arm that hold the front in place. Hopefully this is what you were asking.

Here is a pic of the awd front strut.
