Amazingly, Stillen has been really responsive and very cool. They emailed me back promptly, and they have called me twice to verify everything and to let me know they are shipping me a new bar.

HEY..mine just did the exact same thing last week, but on the other side of the collar. I called Stillen and they replaced it the next day. I had to drive there, but as long as you show your proof of purchase, they dont ask any other questions. I was shocked!

Man that sucks. That is crazy that your sway bar snapped. At least they are sending you a new bar. Did they have anything to say about how it could have snapped? Have they seen other cases of this?

Hmm, that's really something. Can you give us more detail on what setting you had it on and what you think may have caused it to break.

I would also be interested in knowing if this has happened with Stillen bars before.

I'll keep and eye on mine.

Yep -- I emailed them my receipt, and sent a few pics, and they didn't question anything else. The only thing is I have to wait a few extra days because they didn't have the red bars in stock and I didn't want a gold one.

I'm running medium fr/bk lowered on d-specs and h-techs. Never had an issue with anything. I don't track her, I do some spirited driving, some nice curves and sweeping corners, but nothing even close to auto-x'ing her. I never heard a sound or snap. All I heard was the clanging noise one day and when the bottom engine cover was removed, there it was cracked. Of course my car is pretty loud so I can't say the exact time it happened.

Stillen hasn't said anything, but I haven't pressed them about it -- been too busy with work and just getting them the info they needed to get it taken care of.

Nice to see that you're getting a new bar from Stillen but concerned as to how it sheared like that. Anyone else ever drive your car that may have started a fracture in the bar that later split totally? I see that one other member has also commented on a fractured bar as well.

Nope -- no one else has driven my car other than someone driving it up on lifts. I'm still pretty confused how a bar that thick actually cracked.

Question is...what were you doing prior to the sway bars breaking?
You did not specify if your were just driving normally, or what's your history of driving the car since you've installed the bar. Or, was your sway bar self installed or installed by a dealer?
