Sport Suspension or not ??

Whats up guys. I just got a 03 G35 coupe and i was wondering how I am able to tell if the coupe has the sport suspension or not. The G came with the OEM 7 spoke 18's. I'm planning on lowering the car with 350Z H-techs along with the springmount mod, but was wondering first if I had the sport suspension. Does it matter whether or not I have it if I plan to lower the car? Would having the sport suspension make it a more comfortable ride? Thanks fellas.

i guess he's asking will the sport suspension performance be lost if he switch to h techs springs or any other springs and also will it maintain a certain comfortability level switching to different springs

not your car does not have factory sport suspension. thats only on 05+ 6MT's... no it does not matter... with the new 350Z H-techs you will not have a more comfortable ride... the ride will be alot stiffer

his sig says he has a 03 coupe which means 18 inch wheels were only offered on sport package back then. There were no 19s available untill 05+.

Thanks for the replies guys. Sorry if I made it confusing for you guys. But what im pretty much wondering is, if I want to lower my G on springs, whether it is on H-techs or even S-techs, does my G have to have the sport suspension. I believe i read somewhere on another thread where someone said that the coupe must have the sport suspension in order to put any lowering springs on it. And I was wondering if my car is equipped with the sport suspension package.

all the 'sport suspension' is is stiffer springs. so changing the springs is as easy as switching underwear. just don't get em too tight (stiff) or it'll kill your

johnson (shocks).

I was wondering the same thing as well. I just bought H-tech springs, and figured that my 03 has 65,000 miles on it, why not change the shocks while I am at it. So I was going to buy either the 05 or 06 "sport shocks". But are you saying the shocks are the same, and only the springs are different? Will replacing my shocks w/ either 05 or 06 "sport shocks" feel any different? Thanks

Whoa, hold on fellows.

No production G35 coupe, no matter the build year, if delivered on oem 17 or 18 inch wheels has a sport suspension. What you are getting caught up in deals with Infinities description of the regular suspenison as "sport tuned".

The only first gen G35 coupes with the legit sport's suspenision are 05, 06 and 07 cars delivered on oem 19" wheels. That suspension has stiffer shocks, stiffer rear springs and a stiffer front sway bar. IMO, it should have been the only suspension offered from job one in 2003.
