Got KW V2s installed - settling

Just curious on your opinions on how long I should give coilovers to settle before I make final tweaks on ride height and get a final alignment.

Got them installed last Friday night (04.18.08) and was thinking of giving them a full 2 weeks. Sound OK? I know it's probably more than they need but I figure they should be really settled by then eliminating the need to tweak the height anymore.

It really depends on how much you drive. I wouldn't give it more than a week if you daily drive your car. You don't want to drive too long w/ alignment out of spec.

Aside from the adjustments, your going to like the V2s. I've had them on my car for about 3 months and the ride is great. I left the shocks on the factory setting and the ride is very compliant.

Hey, this brings up a great question I've had. What IS factory setting? Is it the softest setting? I have mine right now set to softest.

How do you like those coilovers compared to the sport suspension? How much harder is the ride?

about the same so far but they're set to the softest setting right now AND the height is all over the place due to settling and **** and out of alignment. I'll let you all know when everything is settled and in alignment.

But yeah, overall they're amazing German quality coils. Compared to TEIN...LOL!

500 miles seems to be a pretty sound number for break-in.

Remember, your adjusting rebound, how quickly the dampers allow the suspension to return to normal when compressed. You will want to walk the fine line of killing of as much oscillation (bounce) as possible, yet prevent "jacking down" which is what you can get with too much rebound . Go to page 13 in the following link. http://www.koni-na.com/pdfcatalogs/K...ortCatalog.pdf

Congrats on your purchase, while I don't like the progressive rate spread the setup has in the rear, you could have made far worse choices in the same price range.
