Nismo Sway Bars

I tried doing a search but came up empty. . .

Does anybody have the Nismo sway bar kit with their stock suspension (in particular, a sedan with sport suspension)? Performance Nissan Parts has the sway bar kit for $385 (http://www.performancenissanparts.co...products_id=38) and I was wondering how well they work with the stock suspension.

I enjoy how my car currently rides and don't want to improve the handling by changing the ride drastically with aftermarket springs and shocks. I may someday want a set of 350Z springs and shocks because I feel there's just a bit too much float right now. However, I was wondering if the Nismo sway bars would provide a good improvement in reducing body roll while maintaining a good ride.

Another future mod will be a good set of performance tires with lightweight 18" wheels when my stock Bridgestone all-seasons wear out.

Yes they would improve the car, but you'd be much better of in terms of inhancing the car by getting sway bars that are adjustable. That way you can taylor the way the bars make the car behave. I would recommend the Hotchkis bars $250) or 350EVO($385). You don't have to be interested in racing or autox to benefit from adjustable bars.

Re: Nismo Sway Bars

Is that $250 for front and rear Hotchkis bars together?

How do the adjustable sway bars compare to the Nismo units in terms of stiffness throughout their range? The Nismo bars are 36/22 mm (front/rear), what are the diameters of the stock sway bars? Does anybody have a comparison of the torsional rigidity of the different sway bars?

I installed a Neuspeed adjustable rear sway bar on an '03 Jetta GLX I had (which understeered heavily). I set the bar to the middle (medium) position in fear of invoking snap oversteer. Although the car had stability control, electronics can only do so much in an attempt to control physics.
