You never specified WHICH coilovers could/couldn't. You said COILOVERS as an all encompassing term. Nice try but

He specified Tein coilovers right?
Show me where these "other pieces" are in these tein setups?
Flex

CS

Oh wait, what is that I see on this set of flex coilovers??????? No way, the modding master just told me the other tein coilovers don't use the springmounts right?

I have mixed feelings about what you guys are doing.

Out of the 9 forum rules, he violated number 6, 8 and 9. Yet instead of holding him accountable to the rules, we can't pass up a chance dish it right back to him. I know your having fun, but your only asking him to come back after he times himself out for awhile, far worse.

Then their's the fact that he's partially correct, just not in this instance. http://www.tein.com/tech_info/inst/lp26u.pdf go directly to the last page of the pdf.

Several coilover setups do not reuse the rear oem upper spring seat, Bilstein, Bc, and Jic IIRC. As we know Tein and Cusco do. And I believe Tanabe and Ohlins do as well.

Hey, I thought I was wrong but freely admitted it. Then he comes in and tries to throw it in my face. When HE'S wrong, he never admits it and just ignores the thread and never chimes in. Plus he's the FIRST to call people "idiot" "moron" etc... I've never shown him the same courtesy.

Ever wonder why he sets his profile on "invisible"? So no one (but mods) can see if he's reading a thread or not. But I know he is

In his statement, he clearly states "coilovers" as it pertains to ALL coilovers. Which clearly isn't the case.

I can't tell you how many times he chimed in with advice that is completely false and then someone has to come in and correct it. This happens in the engine and FI sections alot. Dude needs to be careful about what he says because the wrong advice can mean "pop goes the motor" when you're FI. You want someone continually giving bad advice like that?

I'm not a mod so I can't really hold him accountable to anything. I think the mods would rather not ban if possible. So Hai might be trying to teach him a little lesson about knowing what you are talking about before giving out advice. Or at the very least, admit when you're wrong.

Thats right... you specified that the OP was on basics... and yet... vehemently stuck to your opinion that coilovers and the springmount mod dont work together... Just trying to get post-to-post hypocrisies out of the way...

Oh because I'm old (40). And because he's a law student (probably 26 or so). And probably because with his severe lack of knowledge of anything technical, it's all he has left in regards to remarks.
