Squeaky brakes
Hi guys i just purchased my 03 g35 today ! When approaching a stop sign, i noticed that my car makes a high pitch squeak when i drive really slow (Like when you pull up to a stop sign and the car is kind of creeping slow) and press the brake. I was told the car just had new brakes installed. Any techs out there that can give me some advice ? Being a girl its tough to take my cars to mechanics because i dont trust them.lol. Thansk !
Does your car have Brembos? I know when I change my pads I get a little squeek until the pads "break in." I don't know if it is the same way with the non-brembo brakes but if you have Brembo's, I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's pretty normal from my experience.
You can have the pads pulled and add some more brake lube, like 3m Brake Lube/Anti-seize. When I changed pads on my Brembos I used a lot of that on the back (shims) and sides, and I never get any squealing. I did get a bit when the car was new, however.
