Guys with Stance coilover...Need help please!

This is for 05 G coupe (Stance Gr)
Do you adjust the length on the shock body of the Stance to the same length of the Stock kit before you install it on the car?
And for rising and droping, do you turn the perchs that hold the spring?
How do you set your soft and stiff? and start at what # since this is a 15 way adjustable? It's so hard with out manufacture instruction.....Please advice asap, thanks

I will assume you have the setup that has the rear springs on the dampers and not in the original oem location, the following reply is based on that assumption.

DO NOT set vehicle height by adjusting the springs. You want to keep the amount of tension on the springs at the lowest amount required to keep the springs in place.

To adjust height change the length of the dampner's them selves. The very lowest locking collar hold this adjustment in place. Loosen that lower collar and spin the lower mount up of down to adjust height.

IMO alway's start out a full soft on settings and adjust up from their as needed.

If you have the Stance coilovers that have the rear springs in the oem location, please let me know. You adjust height rear differently then I mention above.

i have the OEM coilovers......
This is what i did on the installation. First, i adjust the lenght of the Stance by turning the bottom bucket that hold the strut assembly to the same lenght of the original/factory struts. Second, i dropped (lowered) the vehicle by turning the perch that hold the coilsprings. am i right?

No, IMO pull the fronts and re-establish the front's are set with just enough tension on the collars to keep the spring in place, too little and you will get rattling noise's on broken pavement or with big suspension movements where one wheel is extended. You need to set front height only by adjusting the lenghth of the dampers, nothing else.

In the rear, forget what I said in the post above.

Set rear height with the spring perch. Then adjust the length of the rear dampner to match how you adjusted the springs, longer or shorter. Rear damper length is very important because it maintain's proper suspension stoke and set's rear spring preload.

Front's yes, rears no.

In the rear you adjust the spring perch higher or lower to set rear height and adjust the rear damper length the same distance and direction.

Hey guys, I've searched and I have not found an answer to my question. I'm trying to adjust the rides height prior to installing the springs. How much would I lower the strut if I want to drop about.. 2.5 inches compared to stock height. Front and rear. I have the true coil in the rear. Thanks in advance.
