Question R1 Concept rotors, missing bolt hole?

Hey I just purchased the R1 concept rotors and There is a bolt that is on my stock rotors that is not drilled on the R1's. Is it suppose to be like that or did they send me the wrong rotors? The back set has the extra hole for the bolt. Also, if someone could explain to me what that bolt is for it'd be appreciated as well :P. I will try and attach pictures.

Also, what did everyone do to paint the middle of their rotors? Like paint type and did you use cardboard or painters tape to tape it off? I'm assuming it would be high temp paint but I'm curious.

Thanks guys!

If it's the bolt I'm thinking of, I'm pretty sure you don't need them. I was actually advised to remove them when I got my new rims put on.

As for the paint, I used black high temp paint, since I have slotted and drilled rotors, I painted the entire rotor to prevent rusting occurring inside the slots and holes. It looks bad for a few days, but eventually all the paint will wear off where the pads touch the rotors.

Edit: I just noticed you had a link to a picture, yea I removed that bolt when I got my new rims.

The bolt prevents the OEM rear rims from accidentally being put up front. You have to remove it for any aftermarket rims. It's OK that the new rotors don't have it.

The hole in the rear rotors is for the rubber plug from the OEM rotors, not a bolt.

High temp paint of your choice of color will work for the rotors. You don't have to tape anything off. The pads will immediately wear the paint off on the contact area.

Yes, the hole in the rear rotors are for adjusting the e-brake.

Were these Premium R1 concept rotors?

I was under the impression that as of lately, they will all come painted already?

I guess that's not the case....
