350z suspension on a sedan

mods please keep in sedan section.

question... compared to just swapping out 350z springs(revised and unrevised) to lower your g sedan, versus completely swapping shocks and springs will give me a lower ride. i think shocks will not lower a car more at all... also i have the sport suspension on my 6mt sedan will there be a benefit to swapping my red shocks tha the 350z shocks... i'm planning on unrevised 350z springs but debateing for the shocks... i prefer not to but want the best possible stance and performance...

unrevised springs gave me an inch drop, all the way around. kept my stock shocks. shocks won't lower your car, it's the springs that do that.

nah I think the sports suspension and z suspension is pretty much the same thing. THey are both in a way "sport" suspension so they will have that firmer feel. I am actually just about to head out to my car with my friend to swap out my non sport suspension with 07 z suspension/springs and coupe springs. I'll let you know how it goes if anyone is interested!

If you can, check the sizes of the 350Z shocks vs the G35 sport shocks. I thought I heard somewhere that the G35 sport shocks/struts were longer.

^ They are longer, when i was installing my 350z suspension the 350z shocks are shorter than the G35 shocks in the rear but i don't remember about the front struts.

I think that if you use the revised Z springs you should also use the Z shocks. If you go unrevised then G sport shocks should be fine. Z shocks are a little bit shorter (I think I read 1 inch somewhere). This is my recollection from when I did the research a few months ago before going with the revised. I went revised because the rear springs are stiffer which is what I really wanted (+ the drop) since I already had the sport suspension.

I have no idea, but they are much easier to install since you get a little more room to work with. They might be shorter to equalize the travel distance since the springs they are 'paired' with from Nissan are shorter.

Just installed the z suspension and coupe spring rears today with a buddy of mine. Looks really really good. Definetly noticeable and gives it such a nice feel on curvey roads. Feels close, if not, completly stock when going over bumps. You can feel the stiffness when you go over bumps and how much quicker the struts rebound. Big notice was under heavy acceration there is no squat at all. Went through some s turns by my house and the car had almost, if not at all, lean. Very well worth the money and highly suggest it to anyone. I can post pictures later on tonight if anyone is interested.
