what suspension to get?
what suspension to get?
im new into cars and want to get suspension for my 04 coupe and not sure what to get. im just looking to get something that will be comfortable for daily driving on hawaii's ****ty *** roads. was looking to either getting silk road, tein flex, or tein comfort. looking to spend 1-1.8k new or used thanks
DEF. do not go with tein flex its very stiff, also i have heard that the Tein copmperts are pretty bumpy.
I had the Tein basic coilovers and i loved them i though they rode very smooth. you can find them used for around $500-650, new for $750-800.

What is your price range?
Once you have that noted
that will narrow your choices
immensely
Everyone on here loves Tein.... actually am REALLY happy with my BC Racing coilovers. If I set the dampending to full soft, they ride the same as the stock sport suspension, if not slightly softer. you can crank them up to back breaking levels if you want (30 way adjustable).
Plus, since you're dropping your car you're going to need camber kits. BC Racing coilovers will only cost you ~$1000 so you can spend the extra money saved from NOT getting Tein CS on the camber kits...

SPC with toe bolts for the rear...
Fronts are up to you and your budget. evo 350 and SPL are known to be the best front camber kits. But they are also pricey $520+. Some people get the Cusco, SPC or Ichiba front sets and they are perfectly happy with them. Keep in mind, the less expensive sets only allow for ~+0.5 degrees of camber correction. For most people this is enough to get you back "in spec." If you slam the car, it most likely won't quite get there.
I personally spent the money and went for the SPLs so that I could have more positive camber adjustment to get more even tire wear (I drive 80 miles a day).

i know i am in the minority but i hate tein. ive had cs and flex and hated both. i currently have kw and they are fantastic. if you want comfort go for bilstein pss9. go german!
