You want to do both. Most of the braking IS up front but it's the bias ratio you want to balance. Too much front makes it easier to lock them up and nets you more front end dive.

I've experienced too much front bias when I put 13" rotors and Z32 calipers on my maxima. It would lock and dive pretty good. When I upgraded my rears (happens to be a simple bracket and larger rotor upgrade) the braking was MUCH flatter and it locked up much less.

The POINT being BIAS is important to maintain.

ABS was optional on SE models.

what about bbks though...the vast majority dont even bother with the rears

I replaced my rotors and pads all around about a year and 20K miles ago and im starting to notice the vibration and signs of needing new front brakes. I have EBC slotted rotors with EBC red stuff pads right now..... im looking to do the upgrade to the 06 calipers and rotors and was just wondering if i upgrade the front rotors/calipers, do i Have to upgrade the Rear rotors/calipers?? or am i able to run the 06 13" rotors in the front and keep the stock 05X 11" rotors in the back??

they are 12.58, not 13"

im gonna run them with stock rear brakes...there are mixed opinions about it if u read the thread. when the rears need to be replaced im gonna upgrade them too

anyone have any suggestions for good blank rotors. I was thinking ebc or centric premium but i was just wondering if anyone had any other ideas or good sites to buy brakes

Any new comments on the performance? From your experience, how long do these pads last compared to the former setup?

performance is what the 05+ non awd G35s would do. Which is great. Pads will last longer and rotors won't be so prone to warp. Less dust too.

i swapped just the fronts..hard to tell much of a difference but it seems like the car takes less effort to stop if that makes any sense...still seems to be some brake dust, probably not as much but I am using ebc green stuff which probably arent the best thing for dust

if i can get rid of the stupid brake squeak and reduce the brake dust, i'll be ecstatic.
