Hotshicks sways or 350z suspension?

ive got a 2004 G35 sedan w/o sports suspension. These two upgrades are about the same price (suspensin would be $50 more). Which one would you all recomend? Im looking for better handling only, don't really care aobut drop.

Since you have the non sports suspension, adding the 350z suspension will make a dramatic difference. Much more so than just adding sways. Remeber, when it comes to suspension the springs are the heart. This is where you want to start off when improving handling and body roll. The 350z springs are quite stiffer than the G35 non sports suspension. Also the 350z's dampers are much tighter and stiffer than those of the G35 non sports. Sways are more for fine tuning but are a good compromise for people who want better body roll control but yet don't want stiffer springs. I say you get get the 350z suspension and then if your still not completely satisfied go for some sways to dial in to your liking.

How much are you paying for the suspension?? You should be able to pick it up for $100-150 on average. I've seen some locals selling their whole setup for $5 just to get rid of them...

Re: Hotshicks sways or 350z suspension?

Yes, there a few things you should be aware of. Suspensions from MY 2003 350Z's have a stiffer suspension than the revised 2004 model. It is also a little bit stiffer than the coupe and way stiffer than the sedan without sports suspension. Some 350Z owners complain that the ride is too stiff and that it causes jouncing over bumps and dividers on the roads and hwys. Too much for some as a daily driver. Also it will lower a sedan quite a bit, over an inch all around, and it will lower the coupe a little bit I believe. I'd suggest that you ride in a 350Z before you decide to make the switch so you get the feel of how the suspension feels like. But then again people have bought other peoples 350Z suspensions for dirt cheap so it may be worth it to get it without any test rides.

Re: Hotshicks sways or 350z suspension?

When I traded in the 350 for the G the sport suspension was the first thing that had to go. I'm much happier with the Z setup. Just make sure you get an alignment quickly. I noticed a much smoother ride after the alignment, as well as slightly reduced handling performance (probably due to increasing the camber).

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Good luck
