Looking for softer ride

That's right, I'm willing to give up some of my stability for a smoother ride. It has been fun the past (almost) 6 years but I find everyday driving on L.A. streets to be too harsh for the current set up.

BTW, if anyone saw the report, LA was ranked as having the worst roads in the country.

My 03.5 G35 sedan has the "sport" package. What are my best options to accomplish a more plush ride with regards to price and effectiveness?

Thanks.

Get some tokico dspec shocks and play around with the dampening settings. I have 3 from firm on all my shocks and it is riding way smoother than stock.

No offense what so ever, but if you are looking for a softer ride than stock, and you want to tame down to stock exhaust note of the 03 Sedan (your other thread), it seems to me that you got the wrong car to begin with.

IMO, the 03.5 Sedan with the "sport" suspension is still soft.

Either way, best of luck. Whatever makes you happy is more important.

I rode in a 03 sports sedan before and remember it was pretty comfortable. Has the ride always been like this all these years? If not, then could be your suspension is wearing out?

No offense, but mind your own business. My car is paid for, I raced it on tracks, I've had my fun and have been a spirited driver around town. I've owned the car for almost six years. Now I want to tone the car down some since my life is different now and so are my preferences.

Your opinion is irrelevant. If you cannot help, why be an ****?

Why did you not get a 350z since you're obsessed with handling and speed?

Got anything better to do than not contribute to threads?

Only 40K on the odo. It rides like it did when new (to a degree). Just want to tone it down. Had my fun with it but preferences have changed over six years.

You create a thread, yet state mind your own business? Makes perfect sense...

My post wasn't to get you so upset or to offend you. If you can't take an opinion, then please don't create a thread expecting everyone to say exactly what you want to hear.

Oem linear springs
G35 coupes with oem 17’s & 18’s
G35 sedan’s with sport suspension
350Z’s 2003/2004
Front:314 Rear:342

If you are not looking to lowering the car at all, you may try OEM non-sports springs(283/308).

Personal experience on the coupe, I went from OEM sports (314/427) to H-Tech (358/375), it's rides more comfortable.

^^ +1

I also heard that stock springs has linear springs rates and that the tein springs are progressive, where in progressive the rates gets stiffer as the wheel travel goes further but having a soft rate initially, stock linear rates has a constant stiffness regardless of wheel travel.....or vice-versa, i forget.

I'm no suspension expert but I've heard people say that the comfort gets better with the Tein H techs eventhough it lowers the car a slight bit.

I create a thread and your response is that I have the wrong car. You knew nothing about the car or it's life and how it has been used, yet you think you know it all. You have no opinion. You're just talking out of your ****.

Exactly what I want to hear? I want to hear suggestions to answer my questions. You have no suggestions, so why reply? I dont tell you that you have the wrong car despite not keeping it stock. Again, you should mind your own business.

Going non-sport OEM springs may do the trick. Are the shocks any different in the sport and non-sport oem?

You can check out the part numbers for sedan sports and non-sport, see if they are the same.

For coupes shocks, I know sport and non-sport are different.
