Inner thread wear, How normal is this?

Front Passenger side

Front Driver Side

Well i have a 2007 Coupe, and I was reading up on inner thread wear, some people say its normal but seriously is it this bad??? both wheels have inner wear one more than the other, any recommendations on how to fix?? I hear aligments are not really worth it for this car? The wheels only have about 20K miles in them.

Well people say the alignment "isn't worth it" because the front camber is not adjustable on the coupe (at least not on '04... I would hope they changed it by '07 but I don't know that they did).

20K miles is actually pretty decent life out of a set of low-profile tires. The stock Bridgestones only get about 15K-20K or so on average from what I've seen.

There are aftermarket front camber kits (e.g. SPC) that you can purchase if you really are worried about it. But, from the looks of your tires after 20K even on the outside, it's only net you an extra 2-3K miles at best. If it's worth it to you then go for it.

And you're right - your passenger side tire is really bad. Did you ever have it aligned in those 20K miles?

Whoever told you that obviously didn't see your tires. Get your alignment checked.

Also, what PSI do your keep your tires inflated to and how often do you check/refill?

I try to keep them at 40 PSI, i check pretty often, they have never been lower that 32-35 PSI

Is there a reason you're keeping them at 40? That's a little high. You'd be good keeping them at 34/35. Over-inflation could have aggravated the wear problem.

You shouldn't need to adjust front camber unless you've dropped the car.

Either way, the camber does not matter here... toe eats up tires, not camber, so it's the toe that needs to be adjusted anyways.
