I would think the OEM shocks for the sedan are longer because the ride height is greater on the sedan and they are probably valved differently because of weight differences. But I don't know for sure.

Aftermarket shocks are interchangable between the G coupe and sedan and the 350Z. You want to match your shocks with your springs and ride height.

What are you trying to accomplish by using sedan shocks? Do you have a line on a good deal or are you trying for something? If you have sport suspension (your car came with 19 inch rims stock) the sedan shocks will have a short life.

well i have an 03 coupe.. and i'm lookin for replacements for my oem shocks.. and everywhere i go says they have fitments for the sedan.. and they seemed unsure about if they fit a coupe or not.. i was just wondering if they share the same part numbers.. or maybe they share fronts.. or just the rears.. idk

If you are looking for stock replacements go on ebay. They have Tokico HP (blues) and KYB GR-2 shocks for around $230 for all four corners. Tokico makes the stock shocks so you would be safe in choosing those.
