Best 04 brake fix: aftermarket or 05+ upgrade?

I just brought home an 04 sedan, and the front pads and rotors need to be replaced. I am happy with the performance of the factory brakes, and more concerned with the issue of how quickly the brakes wear. Will aftermarket rotors and pads fix the wear issue while retaining brake performance, or must I upgrade to 05+ brakes to fix the wear issue while retaining braking performance?

Thanx!

Aftermarket rotors and pads while retaining the 03-04 single piston caliper setup will not allow you to maintain brake performance and gain improved wear at the same time. They are mutually exclusive for that braking system. Upgrading to 05+ RWD brakes will get you both the braking performance and longevity you are looking for.

Elegantly concise and exactly the information I needed, thank you very kindly. Looks like my first mod will be upgrading my 04 to the 05+ brakes!
