i was in the same position that you are in, i knew it would probly be a little until i got coilovers so i just went with a set of EIBACH springs and they are great, i am very satisfied with them. if ur gonna get springs for now id go with eibach or tein. dont forget to get a CAMBER KIT after you lower your G your alignment is gonna be off.

Coilovers vs Springs....?

Coil overs are the way to go, save your money until you can afford them. Don't forget no matter what you use to drop your G you'll also have the
extra expense of adjustable a-arms and toe adjusters for the rear....that's
an extra $600+. That's still cheaper than new tires every 6 months....LOL

can anyone give an idea of how much more harsh the ride is going to be with the 350zh-techs versus stock on the G coupe? is it even going to be noticeable? right now i am on the stock 17s but i plan to go with 18s and the 350z h-techs all around. im just afraid that it may not ride near as nice as it does stock.

I personally dropped it with springs for about a year, wore out my stock struts, and then bought a set of coilovers because I didn't want to spend the money right after I bought the car, but didn't like the stock height... a good set of coilovers are definitely worth it if you have the money though.

well im looking at the z htechs which i can pick up for about 210.00 ish or i can get a new set of tein basics for about 900 shipped. im just curious on the ride quality. will i notice much of a difference over bumps if i lowered with the basics about 1 inch?

im just going based on my last car(02 max) that i intially had progress springs on stock struts and then went with adjusatble illuminas after the stockers blew. but it still didnt take bumps very well.im in jersey(not the best roads)

Unless I'm looking to spend some money on a good set of coilovers, I would rather ride with anything else... I'd avoid Tein Basics if I were you.

depends what you are looking for: drop, comfort of the ride, and performance.

if you want stock feel and a mild drop, go with springs (but you will more than likely wear out your stock shocks this way).

Frankly, I wouldn't go with anything but coilovers. BC sports are a nice happy medium in terms of cost and performance, for the products out there, and they are good enough for 99% of the people on the forum.

im basically looking for a setup that is as close to stock in the comfort category. mild drop...1-1.5 inches. not too concerned with performance but not looking to take a drop in handling either.and i would like them to be reasonably priced
