What swaybars? It could be the endlinks.

creaking noise = bad compression rod bushings

you can replace just the bushings with the revised bushings, or you can replace the whole arms. Cost of the arms is like $350 or so for the pair, the bushings is like $40 a pair. If you do only the bushings you will have to use a hydraulic press to push them in. A dealer normally charges like $60 to do both of them.

you will also feel the front end being stiffer after replacing.

I seem to have the same issue.

The suspension is pretty creaky all round. The right is a little harse when going over bumps as well.

Its a 2003, it couldn't be the shocks or struts already would it?

Would this also be a bushings issue?

I had the same issue with my 03 5AT. New struts & and strut bushing plates, still there... New OEM sway bar end links, still there... New saw bar bushings, still there... 3 different mechanics could nto find it... I got pissed, said F' it and traded it in....

I assume you've had your bushings replaced at the dealer. Would you further describe the symptom to be a creaking sound over slow bumps (e.g. driveways and slow turns) and for it to be worse the colder it is outside? At least this is what i'm seeing. I took my car in around 27K miles around a year ago complaining of a clunking sound. The dealer "inspected suspension" and could not reproduce the noise. Now i'm at 43K and I want this fixed before i'm out of warranty.

I went through that 2 times... The just couldn't hear it, yet I couldn't hear anything BUT the clunk... Another guy checked it over twice, and the third mechanic looked at it once. NONE of them could seem to find anything wrong.

If you're hearing a clunk it's probably a bad compression rod bushing. I had the same problem, put in a new rod and the noise was gone. A visual inspection won't always conclude a bad compression rod, we couldn't see anything wrong with mine, but after changing it, the noise was gone.

I've got the creaking noise from the rear over bumps and slow turns. Could it actually be chassis flex? That's the impression that I'm getting because I don't think bushings would sound that loud...

I had a creaking noise, after I replace my sway bars and bushing. It turns out that aftermarket bushing from s/t did not go well with OEM braket (just the front). So, I purchased OEM front bushing and installed, the noise was gone. Also, I used to hear creaking noise from the front and rear whenever I come to stop, later I found out my brake rotors were bent and had to be resurfaced.
