Anyone using Cryo-Stop rotors?

Cryo-Stop rotors are available from the Tirerack and I'm in need of new rotors. Since the Brembo blanks are now $109 vs $70 when I bought them 2 years ago, I'm looking else where. The Cryo-Stops are $73/ea.

Dave, I have them (albiet, on a different car). What exactly do you want to know about em?

I'll be putting them on before the R&D track day, so I'll be able to give you some real feedback after that

Any feedback would be great. Street, track, other cars, etc.

Well, I went ahead and bought a pair (fronts). For those that don't know, these are available from the Tirerack for around $170 shipped. They're cyrogenically treated supposed to improve rotor life. The rotor hat and edges are painted with heavy duty black paint and the rotor faces are finished with hatching.

I installed them along with new OEM pads. There is something different about these rotors because at first drive I was quite worried because braking performance was non-existent as I was driving cautiously to my "bed in" area to get these things broken in. After a couple of slow speed hard near stops, the performance improved quite dramatically. Now they feel like stock, maybe not quite as grabby, but still very responsive.

Based on the part numbers, they appear to be Centric Premium rotors that hav been cryo-treated.

I've had a great experience with my Cryo-Stops.

To follow up, they've seen their fair share of spirited drives and track days. They're heavily grooved (as expected), and will be replaced soon, but I feel I definately got my money's worth.

And yes, to confirm, these are Centric Premium (blank) rotors that have been cryo-treated.

There was a change made in 06 and they do not have an application for that fit just yet.
